(Jazz, Lyrical, Performance Team, Ballet, Pointe, Acro) has been with the studio for over 20 years. Shannon started to dance at the age of 3 where she began to grow into a talented strong dancer and award winning choreographer. After graduating from Lyons Township in 2008, where she was a proud member of the LTHS Poms squad, LTHS Cheerleading quad and President of the LTHS Eurythmic Dance Company attended London Contemporary Dance School and The University of Hawaii. Trained mostly in Cunningham and release contemporary, she has had the pleasure of studying under some amazing teachers over the years including: Cristian Addams, Laurent Cavanna, Raymond Chai, Jorge M. Crecis, Rick Nodine, and Jeannie Steele. Shannon has also had the opportunity to work with outstanding companies in master classes and workshops: Richard Alston Dance Company, Matthew Bourne, Candoco Dance Company, and Henri Oquike. Shannon has also been a member of Harand Theater Camp for 17 years where she studied voice with Sulie Harand and Errol Pearlman. Shannon has had the pleasure to grow with the dance community by teaching Master Classes in the Chicagoland Area. Shannon is very excited to share her passion for dance with your dancer.
Bridget Dominiak | Director
(Jazz, Ballet, Tap & Musical Theater) also a Director of Lively Arts has been with the studio for multiple years. Bridget started as a 7 year old that was taking dance for fun and progressed into an award winning choreographer. She is a platinum and diamond winner of numerous regional and national titles. Choreography credits include high point musical theatre numbers as well as various stage productions including; Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Pippin, and a Beatles Tribute Show. She has trained with Jeff Hancock at Columbia College Chicago where she majored in theatre. She’s a proud former member of LTHS Eurythmic Dance Company and studied voice with Sulie Harand and Errol Pearlman. Bridget is an integral member of the Harand Theatre Department where she has been attending for 17 years. Bridget is also a member of the International Thespian Society.
Erin Willband | Instructor
(Tap, Ballet, Acro) was born and raised in White Lake, MI. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance. She has also studied at the Joffrey Ballet School’s Contemporary Dance program as a scholarship student. Upon graduating, she became a founding member of Grand Rapids Dance project, a contemporary dance company. Her performance credits include principal roles in choreography by Thang Dao, Peter Sparling, and Patrick Corbin, as well as performing with the Spinal Tap World Tour – Unwigged and Unplugged. Upon moving to Chicago in 2009, she became a part of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater II and matriculated into Deeply Rooted Dance Theater in 2011. She is currently co-producer and choreographer for the DanceHall Twigs, a fusion of live rock music and contemporary dance.
Stephanie Farmer | Instructor
When Miss Stephanie isn't teaching and choreographing at Lively Arts, she is an Associate Financial Analyst with GES, Global Experience Specialists; she also is a member of Outlet Dance Company. Previously, Stephanie coached the Unity High School Varsity Dance team in Tolono, IL from 2009-2012 and assisted with the Centennial Varsity Dance Team in Champaign, IL. She is an alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she danced on Legend Dance Company for four years and served as treasurer and co-president. She attended Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, IL where she was a member of both the Eurythmic Dance Company and the Varsity Poms Team, serving as captain and dancing with UDA in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Illinois High School Dance Festival, the National High School Dance Festival, and in the Musical "Nefertiti" at Morton College. Growing up she was a competitive dancer with Lively Arts Dance Academy; she also taught dance at both Lively Arts and the Pleasantdale Park District.
Katie Rae | Vocal Instructor
Katie Rae is originally from Indianapolis, IN. She is currently the Education Director at Stage Door Fine Arts. With a degree in Musical Theater from Ball State University, she spent several years as a Teaching Artist for the Indiana Repertory Theater, and is a proud member of Noise, a monthly cabaret featuring some of Indy’s finest talent. In addition, Katie has been the Stage Manager and Teaching Artist in acting and musical theater for the Booth Tarkington Jr. Civic Program in Carmel, Indiana. Katie was the Middle and High School Theater and Dance teacher at the International School of Indiana, accredited and certified in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. She has also taught, directed, and choreographed productions at local theaters, and several middle and high schools throughout Indiana. (Including: Les Miserables, Footloose, Annie, The Diary of Anne Frank, Picnic, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, and Songs For A New World. ) Katie has also performed in Indiana, New Jersey, London and New York City. Katie’s additional projects include: Founding Associate Director, founding member, and Fundraising Coordinator for Street Light Ensemble, a non-profit theater company located in New York City. In addition she served as an instructor for Arts for All, a non-profit theater education program for Manhattan’s inter-city school system.
